RID Terms of Use
Effective Date: 27 August 2026
Welcome to RID. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RID mobile application, website, and related services (“RID” or the “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, requesting a ride, or otherwise using RID, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

1. About RID
RID is a technology platform designed to enable users to request transportation services and connect with available drivers.
RID may also provide related services, including ride booking, fare estimates, location services, in-app payments, driver matching, promotions, subscriptions, and other transportation-related features.
The availability of individual services may vary by city or region.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement under applicable law to create and use a RID account.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided when registering is accurate, complete, and up to date.
You may not create an account using another person's identity or provide false or misleading information.
3. User Accounts
Certain RID services require a registered user account.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining accurate account information;
- protecting access to your account and connected login methods;
- immediately notifying RID if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization;
- ensuring that your telephone number and other contact information remain current.
RID may use third-party authentication services, including social login providers such as Google, to authenticate users.
A telephone number may be required to complete your RID profile even where telephone verification by SMS is not required.
4. Ride Requests
When you request a ride, RID may use your location, destination, selected vehicle category, and other relevant information to locate and connect you with an available driver.
A ride request does not guarantee that a driver will always be available.
Drivers may accept or decline requests where permitted by the Platform.
Estimated pickup times and arrival times are estimates only and may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, demand, technical issues, security conditions, or other circumstances outside RID's reasonable control.
5. Fares and Pricing
RID may display an estimated fare before a ride is confirmed.
The final fare may depend on factors including:
- distance;
- duration;
- vehicle category;
- minimum fare;
- applicable fees;
- waiting time;
- tolls or additional charges where applicable;
- pricing rules displayed within the Platform.
Where required, users will be informed of the applicable price or pricing method before confirming a transaction.
6. Payments
RID may support cash payments, electronic payments, digital wallets, payment gateways, or other payment methods.
Available payment methods may change depending on location and technical availability.
Where a third-party payment provider processes a payment, additional terms imposed by that payment provider may apply.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they use valid payment methods and have sufficient funds to complete payments.
RID does not require users to provide payment card information directly unless such a feature is expressly made available through an approved payment provider.
7. Cancellations and No-Shows
Users may cancel a ride through the Platform.
A cancellation fee may apply where this is clearly communicated in the application and permitted under applicable rules.
RID may also apply reasonable measures to accounts that repeatedly make ride requests and intentionally fail to complete them.
Any applicable cancellation rules or charges should be displayed to the user before or during the booking process.
8. User Conduct
When using RID, you must behave lawfully and respectfully.
You must not:
- threaten, harass, abuse, discriminate against, or harm drivers or other persons;
- intentionally damage a driver's vehicle or property;
- use RID for unlawful activities;
- transport prohibited or dangerous items;
- interfere with the operation of the Platform;
- attempt to access another user's account;
- manipulate fares, promotions, ratings, payments, or referral systems;
- use automated systems, bots, or unauthorized software to misuse the Platform;
- provide fraudulent information or payment details.
RID may suspend or terminate accounts involved in serious or repeated violations.
9. Safety
Users and drivers are expected to comply with applicable road, traffic, safety, and transportation requirements.
Users should verify relevant ride and vehicle information before entering a vehicle.
In an emergency or where immediate physical safety is at risk, users should contact the appropriate local emergency or public safety authorities.
RID may provide safety features within the application, but such features are not a replacement for emergency services.
10. Drivers and Transportation Services
RID facilitates connections between users and drivers through the Platform.
The exact legal and contractual relationship between RID and participating drivers may depend on the driver's agreement with RID and applicable local requirements.
Transportation services are performed by the driver assigned to or accepting the ride.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to override rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
11. Ratings and Feedback
RID may allow users and drivers to rate one another and submit feedback.
Ratings and feedback must be genuine and must not contain unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or intentionally misleading content.
RID may remove content that violates these Terms.
12. Promotions, Discounts and Credits
RID may offer promotions, referral benefits, coupons, credits, free rides, or discounts.
Each promotion may have separate eligibility requirements, validity periods, locations, limits, and conditions.
RID may cancel or refuse promotional benefits where there is evidence of fraud, abuse, duplication, manipulation, or violation of the promotion rules.
13. Subscriptions and Plans
RID may offer users or drivers weekly, monthly, or other subscription plans.
The price, validity period, benefits, renewal conditions, and limitations of each plan will be displayed before purchase.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, purchasing a subscription does not guarantee a specific number of rides, customers, earnings, or driver requests.
14. Location and Device Permissions
Certain RID features require access to location information.
Location data may be used to:
- identify pickup locations;
- locate nearby drivers;
- calculate routes;
- estimate fares;
- provide trip progress and safety features;
- improve the operation of the service.
If required permissions are disabled, some features of RID may not function correctly.
15. Privacy
RID may collect and process personal information necessary to operate the Platform, including account information, contact details, location information, trip information, device information, and transaction information.
The handling of personal information should also be governed by RID's Privacy Policy.
Users should review the Privacy Policy before using RID.
16. Third-Party Services
RID may integrate with services provided by third parties, including:
- Google;
- mapping providers;
- payment processors;
- authentication providers;
- notification services;
- telecommunications providers.
RID does not control the independent services provided by those third parties, and their own terms and privacy policies may apply.
17. Service Availability
RID aims to maintain reliable availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Platform.
The service may temporarily be unavailable due to:
- maintenance;
- server failures;
- internet or telecommunications disruptions;
- third-party service outages;
- security incidents;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- events beyond RID's reasonable control.
RID may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue individual Platform features where reasonably necessary.
18. Account Suspension and Termination
RID may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary, including where a user:
- violates these Terms;
- engages in fraud;
- creates a safety risk;
- abuses drivers or other users;
- repeatedly avoids payment;
- misuses promotions;
- attempts to compromise the Platform;
- uses RID for illegal purposes.
Where appropriate, RID may investigate the circumstances before taking permanent action.
19. Intellectual Property
The RID name, logo, application, software, interface, designs, text, graphics, trademarks, and other Platform materials are owned by or licensed to RID unless otherwise stated.
Users may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, reproduce, sell, or commercially exploit RID materials except where expressly authorized or permitted by applicable law.
20. Limitation of Liability
RID will make reasonable efforts to provide a reliable and secure Platform.
However, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RID will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from events outside its reasonable control, including telecommunications failures, third-party service interruptions, inaccurate GPS information, road closures, or force majeure events.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
21. Changes to These Terms
RID may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, business operations, legal requirements, safety requirements, or available services.
Where material changes are made, RID may provide notice through the application, website, email, or another appropriate method.
Continued use of RID after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are intended to be governed by the applicable laws and regulations in force in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Any dispute should first be raised with RID so that the parties can attempt to resolve it amicably.
If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the competent courts or authorities in Syria, subject to any mandatory rights or procedures provided by applicable law.
